the studio

Born out of a need for quality, professional crochet dreadlock services, Liz Kidder Studio was established in 2016 in the small town of Amesbury, Massachusetts.

Liz Kidder completed her cosmetology education at the Paul Mitchell School in Honolulu, Hawaii and became a salon professional in 2008. After working behind the chair for 8 years, creating out of the box colors and cuts, traveling to hundreds of locations to do bridal hair styling and photo shoot styling, teaching at cosmetology schools, and even landing some of her work in magazines-- she finally decided to focus 100% of her attention on her true passion: the art of dreadlocks. Liz has had her own dreadlocks since 2010, and after building up a reputation for it, she opened Liz Kidder Studio in 2016.

It's KERIN (not Karen).

Kerin graduated from Empire Beauty School in Lowell, Massachusetts in 2014. She began working behind the chair at Salon Aniu in Amesbury, where she enjoyed doing creative color and balayage techniques. There, she met Liz and was introduced to the world of dreadlocks. After rocking about a hundred different hair styles herself, she is now on her second set of dreadlocks, and began working as a dreadlock artist at Liz Kidder Studio in 2017.
