Pre-Requisites
CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT
For new clients, we strongly recommend coming in for a face-to-face consultation so that we can analyze your hair, discuss details, answer questions, come up with a game-plan for timing and appointments, and to give you an accurate price estimate. Consultations are complimentary and take about a half hour.
We understand if you live far away or work a lot and an in-person consultation would be inconvenient for you. If this is the case, we can consult via e-mail and pictures. Please send us some clear pictures of your hair (from multiple angles, down and up in a ponytail, and in good/outdoor lighting). You should also include inspiration pictures to show desired thickness, length, etc.
LENGTH REQUIREMENT
Depending on your hair type, you will need at least 6 inches of hair growth to start natural dreadlocks. The longer your hair is, the more it will be able to tangle, and less likely it is to slip apart.
If adding dreadlock extensions, we only require 3+ inches of natural hair growth. This means the SHORTEST strands on your head at any point should be at least 3 inches. Keep in mind that the shorter/straighter your hair is, the more likely an extension could slip out.
BEFORE YOUR SERVICE
Please take these steps at home PRIOR to coming in for your appointment:
Hair must be thoroughly shampooed, preferably with a clarifying shampoo, before coming in for your service. If possible, do not use conditioner. Dry completely.
Crochet-hooking must be done on 100% dry hair.
